Bio

I am 29 years young, 1.63 m short, weigh more or less 50 kg, and am proudly South African.

I was born in Pretoria, South Africa on the 9th of December 1985 to proud parents, Frances Greathead and Johan Moolman.

I completed my schooling at Eunice Girls School in Bloemfontein.

I am a qualified Chemical Engineer, pursuing a career as a professional cyclist with Bigla Pro Cycling team in Europe.

A brief background on how I got into cycling:

It was during my studies at Stellenbosch University that I met my best friend, my husband Carl Pasio. When we met, he was a serious triathlete and it was through him that I discovered a love for endurance sports. I had always been a sporty gal, but had only ever dabbled in team sports at school. It was Carl who introduced me to a life of competitive endurance sports. First I tried out triathlon and duathlon, but after struggling with running induced injuries, I decided to focus on cycling, a decision I will never regret!

Today I find myself travelling the world together with my husband Carl, competing on the world stage of women’s cycling.

I live half the year in Riebeek Kasteel, South Africa and the other half in Serinya, Spain; constantly chasing summer days and good weather.

I cook quality food, cycle the mountain roads of Girona, and love family time in South Africa.

I am somewhat of an all rounder on the bike, but my strength is definitely climbing.

My character is that of a hard working, dedicated and motivated individual.

I have a weakness for good coffee, dark chocolate and like to sleep late.

My goal is to promote women’s cycling in a totally testosterone-driven world.

I am driven by passion and purpose.

Life and the greatness of God inspires me and pushing my body to the limits everyday reminds me how wonderfully and beautifully we are made!
